It's summertime and that means it's swimming time! Here's where to go for a swim this summer in and around Calgary, Alberta.

Outdoor pools

We're delighted to report that Alberta entered Phase 3 of its reopening plan on July 1, 2021. Up until now, there were restrictions in place that made going for a dip in an outdoor pool a bit of a challenge. But now all the restrictions on recreation activities, such as swimming, have been lifted! Let's all celebrate with a jump in the pool, shall we?! Here are the public pools closest to Trinity Hills:

Silver Springs

Silver Springs (5720 Silver Ridge Drive N.W.) is only a 10-minute drive from Trinity Hills. The 33-metre pool has a 1-metre springboard and a 3-metre diving platform.

 

Bowview

 

Bowview outdoor pool is located at 1910 6 Avenue N.W. – a 13-minute drive from Trinity Hills.

Mount Pleasant

 

Mount Pleasant (2310 6 St. N.W.) is a 15-min drive from Trinity Hills.

Quarry Lake

A one-hour drive from Trinity Hills brings you to Quarry Lake Park, one of the most popular recreation areas in Canmore. The picturesque lake is fed by a mountain spring. The lake is surrounded by a park area, hiking trails and an off-leash dog park. Note paid parking is in effect starting 2021!

Johnson Lake

 

When you're really hot, the bone-chilling temperatures of Johnson Lake are sure to cool you off quickly. The scenery at Johnson Lake is stunning. You've got the lake, the mountains and the pine trees. It's perfect.
