Fall is the perfect time to get out of the house and enjoy fantastic events and festivals around Calgary before the chill of winter sets in. Here are the events we’re most excited about that are happening around the city this fall.
Beakerhead
Beakerhead will celebrate 10 years of weirdness from September 14th to 17th! Established in 2013 in an effort to make science and engineering more accessible through art and entertainment, it has facilitated 542,000 in-person encounters with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Its 10th Anniversary will run from September 14th to 17th at Contemporary Calgary, Millennium Park, and TELUS Spark. With activities that are exciting and fun for all ages, this festival is a must this fall.
Calgary Fall Home Show
As property managers, we can’t help but get excited about the Calgary Fall Home Show which will run from September 29th to October 1st. It’s an incredible marketplace where you can shop for all things home, experience stunning displays that will inspire your home decor or renovations, connect with industry experts, and enjoy presentations from local and international home professionals. With 300+ booths, there’s a lot of inspiration to look forward to.
YYC Pizza Fest
If you like the sound of great food for a good cause, you need to check out YYC Pizza Fest from September 15th to October 1st. It’s an annual event featuring local participating restaurants who compete for the title of Calgary’s best pizza. They each craft an original recipe and sell it at their restaurants. Anyone interested in trying a pizza is encouraged to head over during the restaurant’s business hours to try it, and then rate it to help the YYC Pizza Fest team decide which restaurant should win. $2 to $3 from every pizza sold supports Calgary Meals on Wheels -- which warms our hearts and bellies.
Rocky Mountain Food and Wine Fest
Rocky Mountain Food and Wine Fest is one of Alberta’s largest food and beverage events. It features hundreds of exhibitors and over 25,000 guests who travel from across Western Canada to sip fine wines, premium spirits, and craft beers. Chefs from local restaurants serve delicious dishes to pair with the beverages. In 2023, this event will be held in Calgary on October 13th and 14th.
